After receiving a Masters Degree in Education and a Professional Diploma in School Administration and Supervision,  he "changed channels" and went on to hold a number of sales, marketing and management positions with major companies serving the education market, including Holt, Rinehart & Winston, Apple Computer, and Gateway. Most recently, he was Vice President for Business Development at Computer Logic Group, a Long Island based technology integration firm and was a consultant to the educational technology community.
